Description
Common name: ‘Diane’s Gold,’ SIberian Bugloss, Heartleaf Brunnera, False Forget-Me-Not
Brunnera macrophylla is a classic perennial that is treasured for its shade tolerance and lovely blooms. They make a fantastic groundcover, and also do well in containers so they will be close at hand when you want to snip a few blooms for a spring bouquet.
‘Diane’s Gold’ Brunnera features the same beautiful heart-shaped leaves, but this foliage develops a wonderful chartreuse that will leave you impressed with how well it holds its colour through summer. Looks equally good in the shade border or nursery container.
And don’t forget the floral display! Brunnera ‘Diane’s Gold’ has a long bloom that emerges in spring, and it is enchanting with sprays of sky blue flowers against its chartreuse foliage. You’ll want fresh cuts of this flower for the spring bouquets.
