Home Agapanthus 'Twister'
Common Name: African Lily, Lily of the Nile
This compact form is a product from a breeding program in South Africa that dates back to 2008. This seeding was selected because of its compact habit, suckering ability, and its narrative blooms. White star-shaped blooms have a rich blue outer throat. Blooms are held in tight clusters, being held about 1-1.5 ft above the dark green, strap-like leaves. Blooms appear from mid to late summer.
In warmer climates, this is considered to be an evergreen. In colder climates, it is best to bring this plant indoors where it can be kept growing or sent into dormancy for the winter. Agapanthus will make a great container plant that requires regular watering during the heat of the summer.
