Bergenia is extremely hardy and reliably evergreen throughout most or our continent. ‘Erocia’ forms a low clump of bold of attractive leathery green leaves, which turn a stunning red shade during cold weather. Stems of vivid magenta-purple flowers rise above the shiny foliage in mid spring. The winter leaves are a valuable addition to cut flower bouquets. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, in both sun or part shade. Easily divided in spring or early fall. Very easy care plant.
