Common Name: Canna Lily, African Sunset canna

A tropical look in the garden with spectacular burgundy-red leaves with orange veins; large flowers that are a stunning orange-yellow top this variety in mid summer; perfect for borders or as an accent

 Ideal for water gardens, ponds and bogs. They thrive near water and in wet boggy areas where other plants will not grow. Cannas bloom in the summer through till the fall.

Flower/Foliage Description: Bold spikes of orange flag-like flowers with yellow overtones and red throats at the ends of the stems from mid summer to mid fall. Its attractive large glossy pointy leaves emerge burgundy in spring, turning forest green in colour with distinctive orange veins and tinges of dark red the rest of the year.  

Light requirement: Full Sun to Partial Shade. Best bloom in sunny location. 

Soil Type:  It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth, but will die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in rich soils.

Hardiness Zones: 7,8,9,10,11,12 (technically an annual but bulb can be stored overwinter indoors)
