corydalis lutea, commonly called yellow fumitory or yellow corydalis, is a woodland perennial which typically forms a mound of ferny that produces bright yellow, short-spurred flowers over a long period from June to September. Flowering heavest in the early summer. Â
This plant is well suited to a shade garden with adequate moisture. Over time it forms a nice ground cover in shady woodland areas. Considered a classic cottage garden plant. Naturalized areas. WIll self-seed but is easily controlled.Â
