Common Name: ‘Minor’ Jade Plant
Fleshy, evergreen succulent with shiny leaves that are egg-shaped to elliptic, often with a red margin and a somewhat pointed end. A definite statement in any garden. Expect dainty white blooms during the winter. Perfect for containers or a succulent garden landscape.
Crassula ovata is a large well-branched, compact, rounded, evergreen shrub. Branches are succulent, grey-green in colour and in older specimens the bark peels in horizontal brownish strips.

Flower Description: Leaves are glossy, dark grey-green, oval and succulent, being 1.0-3.5” long and 0.8-1.5” wide. Rounded heads of white-pink flowers in winter-spring. The stem is stout and gnarled and gives the impression of great age and its branches are also short and stubby, but well-proportioned. Trunks to 6.0” in diameter can develop on older plants.
Light Requirement: Full Sun to Partial Shade.
Soil Type: Plant in well-drained soil with compost added. A layer of pebbles and sand at the bottom will help with drainage and prevent rot from forming.
