Description

Common Name: Montbretia ‘Emily McKenzie’

Clump forming with a brilliant late summer colour consisting of flaming orange flowers that have red centers and a yellow throat. Taller stems make this an excellent cut flower.

Crocosmia’s broad, sword-like leaves are attractive even when the plants are not in bloom and, from a design standpoint, are effective for adding a spiky textured element to the landscape.

Flower Description: Clumps of green sword-shaped leaves, with tall, arching spikes of funnel-shaped hot orange blossoms appearing in late summer. The deep orange flowers feature a mahogany throat on tall stems, making them outstanding cut flowers.

Soil Type: Grow in medium moisture, moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
