Home Currant White
Compact bushes produce long racemes of white/transparent berries. The white currant is sweeter than the tart red currant. White currants are great for fresh eating as well as cooking or preserving. Disease resistant and hardy.
Currant transplants are small, usually consisting of 1 or more stems that can be 6"-12" or longer. When planted in fertile soil they will grow quickly the first few years. Sometimes as much as 2 feet per year. You will get a small harvest the year after planting and each harvest will increase in size.
