Common Name: Dinner Plate Dahlia
Photos do not capture the beauty of this two-toned dahlia. The twisted petals are red with creamy yellow tips, yet the colors are softly muted like an antique watercolor. Awarded the American Dahlia Society’s Derrill W. Hart medal for outstanding performance in trial gardens across the US and Canada. Blooms are large Dinner Plate style 8-10in diameter. The flowers also make exceptional cut flowers for the vase and will stand out in any bouquet. Larger flowering Dahlias are a bit smaller than Dinner Plate Dahlias.
Dahlias are native to Mexico and are members of the Asteraceae.
