Common Name: Large Flowering, semi Cactus Dahlia
Granny Norman has very flashy blooms that are rather huge 8-8 in diameter, not quite Dinner Plate Sized. These plants are vigorous with strong stems. The flowers also make exceptional cut flowers for the vase and will stand out in any bouquet. Larger flowering Dahlias are a bit smaller than Dinner Plate Dahlias.
Dahlias are native to Mexico and are members of the Asteraceae. Garden relatives include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia. need to dig up and store the tubers before the first hard frost if you wish to grow year after year.
