Description

Common name: Coneflower

‘Sangrita’ is a very well-branched, sturdy plant that bulks up quickly, and is loaded with buds for a vibrant show of color.

Orange-red flowers mature to blood red with dark cones. Its foliage is a rich dark green, darker than Salsa Red.

Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.

The plants we ship; In early spring when echinacea ships they often appear small but will grow quickly as they are just waking up from being dormant. They will flower in the first season if planted in early summer.
