Description

Common name: Daylily

‘Cherokee Star’ is simply WOW, look no further than the new ‘Cherokee Star’ if you want to add a WOW  plant to your garden. It boasts huge 7” flowers with a broadly triangular form. They are true cherry red with a prominent, yellow throat that radiates out onto the softly recurved petals. Strong, branched scapes carrying very large buds appear in mid-late season.

Tetraploid with 44 chromosomes, twice as many as Diploids. Tetraploids tend to be bigger, stronger plants.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
