Description

Common Name: Kiwiberry, Actinidia arguta ‘Anna’, Hardy Kiwi Vine

 A female kiwiberry variety introduced from seeds brought back from the Changbai mountains on the North Korean-Chinese border.  The vines have good vigor and yields if provided proper conditions.  The fruits are large heart shaped with some covering a quarter.  The flavor is very sweet and juicy without any acidity when harvested fully ripe. Ripening late in the season. Vines will tolerate some shade. Plants are vigorous and require annual pruning once established. 

It tastes similar to, though slightly sweeter than, its larger-fruited relative, the true kiwi, Actinidia deliciosa, which can not be grown north of Zone 8.
