Common Name: Kiwiberry, Actinidia arguta ‘Anna’, Hardy Kiwi Vine

 ‘Hardy Red’ has bright, ruby red, medium sized fruit. This red kiwi plant is very popular for its tart yet sweet cranberry like flavor. Fruits have red skin, red flesh with smooth skin that do not require peeling. In order to pollinate 6 to 8 female Kiwi plants one male Kiwi plant is required. 

 Ripening late in the season. Vines will tolerate some shade. Plants are vigorous and require annual pruning once established. 

It tastes similar to, though slightly sweeter than, its larger-fruited relative, the true kiwi, Actinidia deliciosa, which can not be grown north of Zone 8.
