Common name: Herbaceous Peony

  'William F. Turner' is an early midseason peony with double red, very dark crimson-purple petals with a blackish sheen. Yellow stamens visible as the bloom matures. The excellent habit of the plant makes it sought-after for many collectors. Strong stems making for great cut flower, (Shaylor, USA, 1916).
