Description

Common Name: Hardy Aster, Fall Aster, New York Aster

The Island® series is a relatively new compact form of fall-blooming asters. The bright pink, single to semi-double blooms of ‘Island® Bahamas’ have yellow centers. Asters are native to North America and are generally very easy to grow. A magnet for pollinators late in the season.

Due to their naturally compact habit, they are terrific in containers or near the front to middle of the border.  They do not require any human intervention to maintain their neat habit and they have a long shelf life.
