Common Name: Glory of the Snow, Chionodoxa luciliae ‘Alba’

Chionodoxa luciliae Alba is a large flowering species that dates back to around 1885 from Turkey. It has three or four star-shaped, six-petaled clustered white flowers atop dark stems with sparse, narrow foliage. This vigorous hybrid is deer-resistant.

Glory of the Snow provide much needed colour in the early spring garden. Easily grown and will naturalize over time to form a early spring carpet of colour. Glory of the snow is among the first of the spring bulbs to bloom. Plant in average soil that is well drained in full sun to light shade.

Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds to much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
