The Leading Lady™ Series was bred to flower earlier, be floriferous blooming all summer, be cold and heat tolerant and mildew resistant. The series is characterized as “strong Coreopsis breeding, with first year flowering on hardy plants”.
Named after the actress, Charlize Theron, this new introduction from Darryl Probst, the breeder of the Big Bang series, offers lots of flower power in the garden. ‘Charlize’ has showy, double flowers that are more of a true yellow than the typical golden tones of most broad-leaved coreopsis. Blooms last from early to late summer and are mildew resistant.
Coreopsis are known for their vibrant, daisy like flowers that are yellow, pink or bicolour. Easy to grow in full sun and well drained soil. They are very drought tolerant and can self seed.

Flower Description: Large and frilly double flowers that resemble vividly yellow daisies. Flowers begin appearing as early as the end of May and lasting until September.
