Common Name: Saffron Crocus ‘Cartwrightianus’, Crocus cartwrightianus

Unusual and beautiful autumn blooms and lush spring foliage. Wild type of the cultivated Saffron Crocus (C. sativus).

Fall flowering crocus will bloom a few weeks after you plant them. They bring much needed colour to you fall garden. In the spring their leaves will appear, they will die back by early summer with blooms to follow again in the fall.   Plant in groups for best display. Full sun is best, will tolerate light shade. Well drained soil is best for bulbs.

Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds too much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
