Common Name: Decorative Dahlia

 Ginger Snap is a remarkable cut flower with stems that are strong, straight, and sturdy, making this a real treat for arranging . The bush are compact at 3 1/2′ produces almost all laterals so be careful not to over cut this variety. Waterlily type blooms are 3 1/2″ in diameter and are a rich gold at the center blending to almost caramel.  Great addition to the garden to as the color is a real standout. 
 
 Dahlias are native to Mexico and are members of the Asteraceae. Garden relatives include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia.  need to dig up and store the tubers before the first hard frost if you wish to grow year after year.
