Description

Common Name: Coneflower, Big Kahuna hybrid

Big, informal, honey-mango colored flowers in huge numbers sit above the foliage of this must have Echinacea (coneflower). The sweet scent of the bloom goes right along with its Hawaiian name and will be with you through summer and fall.

Sturdy, upright habit, strong stems and unique colour adds up to a tropical treat that will be the “Big Kahuna” of your garden border.

Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.

The plants we ship; In early spring when echinacea ships they often appear small but will grow quickly as they are just waking up from being dormant. They will flower in the first season if planted in early summer.
