Description

Common Name: Coneflower, ‘Sensation Pink’, pp26593

‘Sensation Pink’ presents a vibrant coneflower that features large flowers consisting of bright magenta-pink petals surrounding a large dark cone on dark stems and dark green foliage. Petals eventually mature to lavender pink later in the season. Blooming begins in midsummer and will continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed.

A compact selection that is ideal for sunny borders, ‘Sensation Pink’ coneflowers are great for cutting and are attractive to many pollinatorss. Bred by Dutch hybridizer, Marco van Noort.

Praised for their cheerful brightly coloured flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.

The plants we ship; In early spring when echinacea ships they often appear small but will grow quickly as they are just waking up from being dormant. They will flower in the first season if planted in early summer.
