Description
Common name: Coneflower
EYE-CATCHER™ Collection
Tanager will be completely covered in 3½”, rich tangerine orange flowers with heavily overlapping petals and dark cones that are produced on dark stems above dark foliage. Noted for its incredible basal branching.
Praised for their cheerful brightly colored flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.
The plants we ship; In early spring when echinacea ships they often appear small but will grow quickly as they are just waking up from being dormant. They will flower in the first season if planted in early summer.
