Leucanthemum superbum ‘Realflor® Real Charmer’

Description

Common Name: Shasta Daisy ‘Real Charmer’, pp27687 (Formerly known as Chrysanthemum) 

‘Red Charmer’ is a hybrid shasta daisy cultivar in the Realflor® series developed by PlantHaven International and often sold under the name Leucanthemum x superbum. It features fringed double flowers with cream coloured outer petals and smaller, yellow petals surrounding a bright, golden center.

Blooms are held on sturdy, well-branched stems above the foliage from early summer through early fall. The leaves are narrowly and deep green in colour. An excellent cut flower and very attractive to pollinators. 

Leucanthemum are wonderful summer-blooming perennials with large daisy flowers. Prefers well-drained soil in the sunny border. Deadhead to encourage continuous bloom.

Flower Description: Medium height; large double, cream-to-lemon yellow flowers with fancy fringed petals. Deep golden centers add additional colour; strong stems with disease resistant foliage. Blooms all summer.

Soil Type: Well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Good soil drainage is especially important in winter because damp and soggy soil around the root crown of the plant can lead to rot.
