Paeonia ‘Yellow Crown’ is a Midseason Itoh Hybrid Peony, fully double, yellow with a hint of red at the base of the petals, slow grower, attractive plant for in the garden (Itoh-Smirnow 1974).
Itoh Peonies are prized for their large and spectacular flowers, later blooming season and finely cut and beautifully mounded foliage. The aftermath of the bloom will leave you with an eye-catching mound of deep green foliage that will happily anchor the next sequence of bloom in the neighbourhood.
Peonies make superior cut flowers, lasting more than a week if cut in full bud.
