Description

Common Name: Globeflower ‘Cheddar’

Globeflowers are extremely popular perennials, bursting into colour in late spring and early summer.

‘Cheddar’ has semi-double flowers in a wonderful soft creamy-yellow shade. Sometimes called Buttercups, these grow well in a sunny or part-shaded border, also at the edge of a moist woodland. Flowers will last a few days when cut. Clumps may be easily divided in fall or early spring.

Flower Description: Produces masses of beautiful creamy yellow buttercup flowers with buttery yellow eyes at the ends of the stems from late spring to early summer. Its deeply cut lobed leaves remain dark green in colour throughout the season.

Light Requirement: Partial Sun to Partial Shade. Prefers partial shade. 

Soil Type: It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution.
