Description
Common name: Botanical Tulip
White petals, each with a purple-blue blotch at its base, surround a cluster of dark stamens and form large and exquisite star-shaped flowers that have a light scent. One for the connoisseur or collector as it does not come cheap.
Botanical Tulips may be small but they bring much needed color to the spring garden. Botanical Tulips will keep coming back for many years and naturalize in the right setting. Plant in groups for the best display. Full sun is best, will tolerate light shade. Well drained soil is best for bulbs.
Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds to much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
