Description

Common Name: Hybrid Coneflower, ‘Cheyenne Spirit’

A dynamic mixed colour strain of Echinaceas, the first of its kind offered from seed. It is a well-branched, sturdy coneflower with incredible colour range that includes rich shades of tomato red, near-fluorescent orange, magenta, golden yellow, and white. Though the height of each colour varies slightly, they are all very well-branched, bushy plants that fill out nicely and have a high colour impact in the landscape. Blooms all summer and into early fall if spent blooms are removed. Make sure to leave some seedheads behind for the songbirds!

You should consider planting this variety in groups of 3 or more to ensure you have a varied colour palette.

Praised for their cheerful brightly coloured flowers, coneflowers are a mainstay in today’s garden. Be sure to leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall because their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter.

The plants we ship; In early spring when echinacea ships they often appear small but will grow quickly as they are just waking up from being dormant. They will flower in the first season if planted in early summer.
