Description
Common name: Herbaceous Peony
Stunning deep red almost dark brown flowers, usually free from any purple suggestion. Midseason Japanese flower form. Almost always single with the odd semi-double bloom. The plant is short at 28″, stems are strong and do not require support. This is a hard to find variety(Auten, 1939).
Pictures of the roots are an example of the size/grade root you will receive. Our Itoh and Herbaceous peony roots are imported from the Netherlands. They are 3+ eyes. Do not be fooled by other vendors who sell smaller roots for cheaper prices.
