  This heirloom beauty is the colour purple thru and thru, has a very thin skin and easy to prepare. Add an extra dimension of colour into your meals or market display stands with this eye catching purple colour. Higher than average frost tolerance and holds well to mid season plantings powering on into the Fall. This variety likes its space to grow and requires about 20 percent more space as the plant is large and rangy, loves to stand out, tubers can form further from the base of the plant than most varieties. Best to plan for generous spacing. Slightly higher watering requirements to ensure large tubers, some heirloom plants sit tight if conditions are not optimal. 100-120 days.Â
