Description

Common name: Mid-Late season Tulip

Hakuun is a stunning, pure white Darwin variety. Hakuun looks great on their own or planted with other colors to make amazing combinations. Darwin tulips are great in the garden, mass plantings, containers, and cut flowers.

Darwin hybrids produce big, showy blooms with a classic tulip shape. Darwin hybrids are often referred to as perennial tulips. Their ability to weather cold winter and come back year after year has earned them a reputation as perennial tulips. The more sun they receive and the dryer their soil is in the summer the better blossoms you will have the following spring. Darwin tulips bloom mid-spring. They were first introduced in the 1950s, the come in a rainbow of colors with new hybrids still being introduced.

Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds to much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
