Description

Common Name: False Spirea, Hybrid Astilbe

The foliage of Amber Moon emerges bright chartreuse yellow in spring with a tinge of red pigment in the newest leaves.  It provides a bright spot of color and lacy texture to the shade garden in spring and then greens up a bit by late summer.

Very tall, strong, blush red stems carry rose pink flower panicles in midsummer.

‘Amber Moon’ displays good heat tolerance and a robust habit like Chinese Astilbe. It is best grown in partial to full shade because of its light colored foliage.

A great accent for moist areas, such as around pools and water features!

Astilbe produce plumes in various sizes and shapes. Each plume consists of hundreds of tiny flowers, each opening in succession, providing a long season of bloom. Plumes make excellent fresh cuts or for drying in natural bouquets. Excellent for the woodland garden. Plant in mass for a stunning display.
