Fast growing, tropical looking plant. This plant makes a great garden accent or lovely additional to large containers. Use in containers on the patio or poolside to bring the tropics to your backyard. Be sure to provide plenty of direct sun for this plant.
Zebrina Rojo banana is a very attractive, colourful banana from Tropical Asia. It produces large green leaves with red splashes on top and burgundy undersides, and a completely red stem. It produces small, inedible red fruit. One of the most colourful Musa’s and a very popular one because of it. Definitely one for the collection.
This plant can be planted in the ground for the summer, or kept in containers and brought inside for the winter months.

Ornamental Details: This outstanding banana features green leaves with red splashes on top, and burgundy undersides, giving rise to the name “Blood Leaf Banana.” Flowers bloom mid- to late-summer but are insignificant. Although inedible, from these flowers small, showy red/brownish-purple fruit will emerge in fall.
