Description

Common name: Trumpet daffodil ‘King Alfred’

‘King Alfred’ is a trumpet daffodil that produces one flower per stem. A midseason bloomer, each flower (up to 4.0″ across) features pointed, bright yellow petals with slight twists at the tips and a yellow trumpet. Narrow, strap-shaped, green leaves in clumps. This daffodil was bred in England near the end of the 19th century by John Kendall. It was introduced in 1899 and quickly became recognized as the standard yellow trumpet daffodil.

Narcissi will naturalize well and make great cut flower. Mix and match different varieties for unique combos in your your garden or arrangements.

Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds too much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
