Yankee Doodle Dandy’ is a Midseason Itoh Hybrid Peony. Semi-double blooms are dark pink with cream undertones. flower size 6″ in diameter with large, very attractive dark plum colored flares, pleasant fragrance, 1-2 side-buds per stem, very good substance, floriferous, give a long period of bloom, up to 2,5 weeks long, flowers held on strong stem just above and beyond the foliage, dark green foliage, (Donald Smith, USA, 2002).
