Description
Common Name: ‘Kopper Kettle’ Itoh Peony, intersectional hybrid peony
Large, semi-double flowers of copper-pink petals with occasional yellow streaks and a dark red center that frames the bright yellow stamens. The sensational blooms stand above lush, toothed foliage in late spring. An especially vigorous plant, the sturdy flower stems require no staking. This herbaceous perennial is a wonderful addition to any spring bouquet.
Itoh Peonies are prized for their large and spectacular flowers, later blooming season and finely cut and beautifully mounded foliage. The aftermath of the bloom will leave you with an eye-catching mound of deep green foliage that will happily anchor the next sequence of bloom in the neighbourhood.
Peonies make superior cut flowers, lasting more than a week if cut in full bud.
