Common name: Botanical Tulip
Black Base produces stunning magenta pink flowers with a black centre on sturdy stems. The beautiful flowers contrast well with their narrow grey-green leaves and are perfect for the front of your garden borders. Tulipa humilis grows in the wild in Iran and Kurdistan and over the years will form a small clump. Tulip Violacea Base is the most rare and special selection, a beautiful miniature tulip with a deep dark centre that gives a complete different look to the flower.
Botanical Tulips may be small but the bring much needed color to the spring garden. Botanical Tulips will keep coming back for many years and naturalize in the right setting. Plant in groups for best display. Full sun is best, will tolerate light shade. Well drained soil is best for bulbs.
Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds to much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
