The delicate, pendulous blooms of Fritillaria meleagris are one of the joys of spring. Fritillarias look best when planted in groups. They are at home in full sun where the soil is rich and well-drained soil.
Bulbs require well drained soil. Will not perform well if soil holds to much water. Add sand or grit to the bottom of the hole to improve drainage.
