Description
Common Name: Hosta, dream weaver hosta, plantain lily
A sport of ‘Great Expectations,’ this hosta has large, distinctive leaves that have very wide, blue-green margins and sharply contrasting creamy white centers. Leaves are nearly round and are corrugated. In midsummer, white flowers appear on 26″ scapes.
‘Dream Weaver’ has excellent slug resistance and will be a true dream in your shade garden. Suitable also for planting in mixed containers or tubs!
Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today’s gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve. Soil Type: Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.
