 Ann is a female variety of hardy kiwi vine. This variety is easy to grow and suitable for beginners. Once established a mature vine can yield 100lbs of fruit. Fruits are grape-sized and smooth-skinned, hang in clusters on the vine. Ripening late in the season. Vines will tolerate some shade. Plants are vigorous and require annual pruning once established.Â
It tastes similar to, though slightly sweeter than, its larger-fruited relative, the true kiwi, Actinidia deliciosa, which can not be grown north of Zone 8.
